Blue Stone is an inn that anticipates and embraces the presence of groundwater post-mining operations in a karstic cave. Rather than disrupting groundwater pathways more than the mining already has, the inn promotes a more communal mode of living alongside water, allowing it to seep, puddle, pool, and travel as it may.
Solo project, designed in 2020 for the architectural design studio "When It's Not All About You" at the University of British Columbia.
